Ben Stommes

Ben Stommes joined Hardwick-Day as a data analyst in 2007.  He has enjoyed learning the process of constructing financial aid optimization analyses and live simulation models.  He finds it very rewarding when he can dig into data and provide real-time answers to client questions, especially during campus visits.

In addition to working on the financial aid optimization analyses, Ben has been spending a considerable amount of time constructing a comprehensive database of higher education landscape data. This includes, but is not limited to, historical tuition, enrollment, graduation rate, household income, and demographic data.  The database is constructed in a manner that allows Ben to quickly isolate one institution and compare it with a set of peer institutions.  He is also able to paint a broader picture of some of the challenges that colleges and universities face today.

Ben received his bachelor’s degree in Mathematics with a minor in Economics from Saint John’s University in Collegeville, Minnesota in 2004. Ben truly values his undergraduate experience at a private liberal arts college and that is why he appreciates Hardwick-Day’s mission of working exclusively with private colleges.
