Carol A. Stack

Carol Stack develops and refines brand strategies through research and campus workshops. She also assesses admissions and recruitment operations, advises on staff development and performance review processes, develops new enrollment management strategies, provides admissions and financial aid staff training, and advises in the area of international student admissions.

Carol's contributions are strategic, tactical, and operational. At one West Coast college, she served for nine months as a senior consultant to admissions and financial aid, during which time she worked with staff to implement recruitment tactics that resulted in the largest freshman class in recent history.

In 2007, Carol served as a senior consultant for financial aid operations at an East Coast university at which her efforts resulted in better communications, a documented policy and procedures manual, and significant staff training in both financial aid regulatory issues and student services initiatives.

Carol began her career in admissions at Macalester College, where she worked for seven years, including a year as director of admissions. Carol’s responsibilities at Macalester included freshman financial aid packaging; Midwest and New England recruiting; and serving a large international student population.

Carol’s enrollment management experience continued at Augsburg College, where she worked with the Office of the Registrar/Student Academic Records and served as director of admissions. Her 11 years at Augsburg gave her the opportunity to work with a diverse group of students, including the college’s large transfer and first-generation college student populations.

In 1991, Carol relocated to Brussels, Belgium, with her family. She spent four years as a college counselor at St. John’s School in Waterloo, Belgium, and then became director of guidance at the International School of Brussels. Her time abroad included managing advanced placement programs; counseling students wishing to study in the U.S., U.K., continental Europe or Asia; and conducting pre-departure training and orientation for Belgian and Luxemburgian Fulbright Scholars prior to their enrollment at U.S. universities. Carol earned a B.A. in English literature and history from Macalester College.
