Patricia Ross

Patti Ross has over 20 years of experience as a researcher and evaluator, curriculum and course designer, and professor. She has worked or volunteered for national, state, and local organizations, including Carleton College, the University of Minnesota, the Association for the Advancement of Philosophy and Psychiatry, and Women Venture, a nonprofit organization that helps women grow their businesses, change careers, or find new jobs.

Patti currently serves as an educational consultant to the State of Minnesota. There, she has analyzed teacher supply and demand, developed a survey for determining teacher selection and placement criteria, and evaluated teacher education programs with respect to state learning standards.

With Hardwick-Day associate principal Dave MacCallum, Patti will work with colleges and universities to support data-informed academic decision-making and planning by offering three integrated services:

• The Resource Optimization Model helps leadership determine the optimal use of institutional resources;
• Accreditation Preparation and Response supports the assessments and evaluations needed for institutional accreditation; and
• Academic Planning builds on these by providing specialized tools and services tailored to the particular issue at hand.

Patti is currently finishing a Ph. D. in Educational Psychology at the University of Minnesota, with a concentration in Quantitative Methods in Education. She also holds a Ph. D. in Philosophy of Science from the University of Maryland, an M.A. in Philosophy from the University of Illinois, Chicago; a B.S. in Psychobiology and a B.A. in History and Philosophy of Science from the University of Pittsburgh.
