For Prospective Students: What Our Alumni Say About Hardwick.
The education a student begins at Hardwick provides the basis for continuous transformation through learning and service. Research conducted by the Council of Independent Colleges found (among many positive findings) that independent college graduates are more likely than public university graduates to work full-time in education or for nonprofit organizations (38 percent vs. 18 percent).

Stuart Chmielewski, ’05
English Visitor Services Assistant Manager, Minnesota Children’s Museum “I began to do volunteer work while I was in college, and it helped me realize I enjoy working with children and set me on my current career path. It is easier to find rewarding volunteer work when so many of your classmates are involved and it’s a part of campus culture. “Hardwick also gave me opportunities to lead groups of students with varied backgrounds and skills, and that experience has helped me manage a diverse team at work that includes all ages, immigrants and refugees, and people with disabilities.”
