Nicole (Nikki) Stoddard is a recent hire at Hardwick~Day. She is learning to create the live simulation models used during Hardwick~Day’s on-site visit to compare various financial aid policies and will be on hand during many of the visits to provide instant answers to data-related questions. |
|
She will operate the live model spreadsheets and also have the client database available to answer any other data-related questions that may arise. Nikki will also monitor the admit pool and incoming class throughout the recruitment cycle.
Nikki will have a small list of clients at Hardwick~Day because she will also be responsible for all the scheduling of webinars and client visits, ensuring that every detail is thought out so that the company’s and client’s time is used most efficiently. She will also perform a myriad of “other duties as assigned” that are critical to the firm—such as assisting in the organization of Hardwick~Day’s Summer Seminar and NACAC reception.
Nikki graduated from the University of Minnesota in 2007 with a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics with an Actuarial Science focus. She is used to hard work. At the U of M, she taught herself calculus from textbooks because the classes were so big and the teaching assistants so difficult to understand that she felt she would do better on her own. She worked her way through college as a restaurant server, which taught her great customer service skills in addition to her natural people skills.
Nikki is enjoying learning about the business of higher education and is looking forward to learning everything she can about financial aid, admissions, and Hardwick~Day’s custom analysis. |
